SHARED MATERIALS is an imprint for music by Brandon Locher that exists for use, not sale. By subverting music as a commodity, the value of each work is measured in individual experience and engagement rather than market price. All works are designed to function as social, communal, and participatory creations rather than tradable assets. Within this anti-capitalist framework, every work is by default intentionally open to reinterpretation, remixing, and mutation under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) license, ensuring that all derivatives remain non-commercial and shareable. By freeing these works from capitalist structures, intrinsic value is placed on individual creativity and the experiential impact of art rather than its monetary worth. In this way, art exists not as property, but as a shared experience, existing outside the limits of market logic. For use, not sale. For life, not markets.
