With the moon being roughly 238,900 miles away from Earth, I calculated that if I’d cycle 60 miles a week for the next 76.3 years I would have completed my cycle to the moon by the year 2098 when I turn 113 years old. After doing this calculation it seems pretty far-fetched, but I believe that absolutely nothing in life is impossible. I figured since the hardware captures lossless-quality audio performances that can be downloaded after the broadcast in a .WAV file, during these 15 days I’ll only use the platform as a recording device to capture new original audio. Since the Blast Box is a single input device, I’ll be limited and restricted to recording only single electronic and instrumental tracks (with a heavy focus on live effects processing), therefore there will be no multitrack recording. Every time I practice I will only be at this designated location while I improve my playing ability with each practice session. I've always wanted to learn how to play the trumpet and realized in my current living situation it would be incredibly rude to teach myself a loud brass instrument indoors as I would annoy all of the other tenants in my apartment building. For a minute I thought about finding a practice space but soon realized basically anything goes in the streets of New York City as I experience and witness much more offensive, obscene, and annoying occurrences during my day-to-day.
